This building’s design expresses the waves of Busan, the port city and the dynamic body located in Gijang-eup, and is built in an eco-friendly form. For instance, its shape is reminiscent of hills in order to fit in with the neighboring mountains. One of the biggest features of the Gijang Gymnasium is the curtain wall maximizing the natural light in the interest of energy reduction. There is a park including open-air stages, fountains, and casual basketball stand with 320 parking spaces.
The soccer field meets international standard and is intended to push forward physical activities for the locals and soccer fans in Busan, and promote employees’ physical activities. In this way, it can be harmonized with the clean neighboring environment of Cheolma and vitalize sports for all while serving the local economy by the influx of visitors from other regions.
