- Address Yeonhwa-ri, Gijang-eup, Gijang-gun, Busan
Jukdo is a small island in front of Yeonhwari village in Gijang-eup. Since it is the only island in the Gijang area, it was well-known from the old days and is one of the eight sights. The shape of the island resembles that of a turtle. There was a bamboo tree forest on the island and a cool spring. Especially on rainy nights, the trembling of the leaves and the rain sounds chant together, creating majestic sights. Since the island was located about 200m in front of the village before the present landfilled state, it was a place where people could easily pass by boat. Therefore, it is a representative spot of Gijang frequented by many overnight visitors. However, it is now privately owned and surrounded by barbed wire, much to the disappointment of many, both locals and those who love the place.
